Our Story
From Yonkers to the Bronx: 25 years of faith and service.
How We Got Here
August 19, 2001
The Beginning: Yonkers, NY
Family Worship Center was founded in the home of Pastor Roger and Lady Senikha Ball at 440-04 North Broadway in Yonkers, NY, with approximately 15 individuals. The congregation soon moved to the Yonkers YMCA on Riverdale Avenue.
October 2002
Foxfire Auditorium
The church relocated to Foxfire Auditorium at 1061 North Broadway within a Yonkers Public School, growing to 40-50 weekly attendees. Leadership began to see that the Bronx was home for most of the membership.
February 2007
The Move to the Bronx
After prayerful deliberation, the congregation relocated to the Bronx. Attendance doubled on the first Sunday, confirming the move was right. Community programs launched: after-school program, weekly food pantry, soup kitchen, and annual coat drive.
September 2010
Resilience
A fire at a business below disrupted worship at 701 East 212th Street. The congregation found refuge at 3323 White Plains Road, where weekly attendance grew to 75-100.
2015
A Permanent Home
The church purchased and renovated its current place of worship at 3031 Cross Bronx Expressway, The Bronx, NY 10465. Current weekly attendance: 100-150.
